Chance Murray, an artist and grassroots curator, has organized a group exhibition called Dot Matrix to take place in an old barn dubbed the White Barn Gallery, near his property in Cedar Grove, NC, several miles north of downtown Hillsborough off Hwy 86.  The exhibit will display artwork in a variety of media from a concise group of artists including Sebatienne Smart, Alex Hatchett, Travis Harville, Jerstin Crosby, and Chance Murray.  By showing installation, video art, paintings, digital prints, and collages referencing the dilemma of deterioration through memory and physical embodiments, Dot Matrix re-contextualizes the former tobacco barn to become a shelter for contemporary art in a rural surrounding.  This one day installation will be held on Saturday, November 15th, with a reception from 5 – 9 PM.

Directions to The White Barn Gallery:
Take HWY 86 N, 10 miles North of downtown Hillsborough to the caution light at Hurdle Mills Road.  Turn RIGHT onto Hurdle Mills and drive for about 2.5 miles, then turn left onto a gravel driveway at Rapples Drive.  There is a big yellow house next to the White Barn, and all three turns will be marked with “Dot Matrix” signs and arrows.
